Do you ever take time to reflect on what you loved about yourself as a little girl?

What about yourself as a little girl inspires you today?

What parts of her that you love do you feel distant from or that have been lost?

In what was are you still like her?

When was she the happiest?

What were her dreams?

Here I am around 5 or 6 - feisty, fearless and confident….and stubborn! I always had dirt under my nails and was constantly red in the face from hours of playing - soccer, swimming, climbing trees and doing gymnastics.

I loved the ocean and dolphins and I was a daydreamer with really big dreams. I even dreamed of writing a book one day.

I always had my dog Sunny by my side and each night we watched the sun slip behind the mountains in our valley.

Today, I still am the happiest when I’m moving my body, chasing adventures, dreaming, hanging with my dog (and Paul🤣) and playing in the sea. Many things about us change as we get older, but some parts of us never will.

I’m missing my vintage trailer Pearl today (1960 Scotsman). Since I wrote about her in my chapter “Made with Love and Wonder,” I thought you’d like to see her. Deep thoughts here, I know.
